Essentially Public Health Instructor

Miruna Buta serves as a faculty instructor for Essentially Public Health. She is an experienced researcher and educational leader who is passionate about bridging the public health practice, education, and research worlds. She has been involved in providing technical assistance to the Washington State Department of Health in their arthritis and hypertension management initiatives and supervised several student practicum and Capstone projects in collaboration with community organizations.  

Miruna is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Health Systems and Population Health and Director of the Online MPH program. She is currently teaching Foundations of Public Health courses in the Online and in-person MPH programs, and Participatory Evaluation and Community Engagement in the Community-Oriented Public Health Practice MPH program.
