If you're ready to move forward with a template based on our policy, download the policy template.
Before you begin creating a policy, read through the policy developed by Public Health - Seattle & King County. This policy assumes that no PHI will be sent via text. It is possible to develop rules that allow exceptions in cases of significant public health interest.
Important: This template should be thoroughly vetted with department leadership, including your compliance team, your legal staff, and your IT security. This template is provided to help you begin to articulate the texting rules and parameters for your specific department.
